Four Hours of Fishing, Plenty of Time for a Good Catch

You don’t need to spend an entire day offshore to enjoy some excellent fishing in Tampa Bay. Our 4-hour inshore fishing charters give you time to explore the local waters, target popular game fish, and enjoy a few hours away from the everyday routine. It’s a popular option for vacationers, families with kids, and anyone who wants a fun fishing trip without committing to a full day.

Captain Frankie knows these waters and adjusts each trip based on the weather, tides, and seasonal fishing conditions. Some days that means working the mangrove shorelines for snook and redfish. Other days, the action might be around grass flats, channels, or other productive inshore spots. Every trip is a little different, and that’s part of the fun.

Never held a fishing rod before? You’re welcome aboard. Captain Frankie is happy to help beginners get comfortable with the equipment and learn the basics, while experienced anglers can enjoy getting out and chasing their favorite Tampa Bay species.

Fish You Can Catch in Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay is home to some of Florida’s most exciting inshore fishing, and a four-hour charter gives you a chance to experience it firsthand. Depending on the season and conditions, you might find yourself hooked up with snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, or sheepshead. Each species offers a different challenge, and you never know exactly what’s going to bite.

Snook are known for their powerful runs, while redfish put up a great fight in shallow water. Spotted seatrout are another favorite among Tampa Bay anglers, especially around grass flats. During the cooler months, sheepshead become a popular target around docks, pilings, and other structures.

Captain Frankie keeps an eye on local fishing conditions and plans each charter around what’s active. While no fishing guide can guarantee a particular catch, you’ll have an experienced local captain helping you make the most of your time on the water.

From Our Clients

Great day fishing. Frankie was a great captain. He took us to multiple spots and we caught lots of fish! Lots of snook, trout, catfish, ladyfish and yellow jack. He took the time to teach and help me and my kids with everything. Highly recommend for any fishing trip.-Andrea
I just spent a week in Florida with my son and two friends and we booked with Capt. Frankie for four days, and what a great time we had. Frankie put us on fish every day and went above and beyond our expectations. We endured wind and rain and it didn’t bother him a bit. We just moved around the bay to find new spots out of the weather. He works hard every day catching fresh bait and he isn’t afraid to run around and burn gas to put you on fish. If you’re looking for a good guy to fish with that’s laid back and easy to get along with, Frankie is your guy.-Josh
We went out on a full-day, in-shore trip and had an absolute blast! We caught a good variety of fish including snapper, mackerel, grouper, snook and tarpon and were able to bring home plenty for dinner. Frankie was an awesome captain and made sure we got the most out of our time. We also appreciated his enthusiasm and excitement every time we caught a fish. We will definitely be booking with Barefoot again!-Madeline
Capt. Frank is top notch. His communication before the trip was amazing. His knowledge of the area was also amazing. It felt like just three guys fishing. He was one of the guys with the go to spots. Highly recommend and worth every dime.-Kevin
