Captain Frankie will take you to productive inshore spots based on the conditions and what’s biting, with opportunities to catch snook, redfish, sheepshead, snapper, Spanish mackerel, and other seasonal favorites along the way. We leave from Ruskin into the Bay.

Six hours gives you more time to explore Tampa Bay’s inshore waters, from shallow flats and backcountry waterways to protected mangrove shorelines where fish like to feed and take cover. Target snook, redfish, sheepshead, snapper, Spanish mackerel, and other seasonal species while taking in the wildlife that shares these waters, including ospreys, manatees, and even the occasional bald eagle.

Sunset Cruise for 2
$250 for 2 Hours
Slow things down with a private two-hour sunset cruise on Tampa Bay, made for two people to enjoy the water as the Florida sun goes down. Leave the crowds behind, take in the evening views from the boat, and spend some uninterrupted time together for a date night that feels a little more memorable than dinner and drinks.

Captain Frankie Bird is a US Coast Guard certified captain and Tampa Bay native who has spent his life fishing these waters. From the flats and mangrove shorelines around Ruskin and Little Harbor to productive areas throughout the bay, his local knowledge comes from years of learning how the tides, seasons, weather, and fish move through the places he calls home.
Frankie welcomes experienced anglers, first-timers, families, and kids aboard Barefoot Fishing Charters for a day that’s relaxed, personal, and built around what’s happening on the water.
